Scuba Diving at the Vortex

Florida has a number of naturally occuring springs and many of them are prime spots to scuba dive. Their water temperature is a year round 68 degrees requiring wet suits. Vortex is a spring close to where Hunter and I have been doing volunteer work this past month. The project is over and we had a few free days so decided to check out the springs, especially since the weather was a balmy 75 degrees with plenty of glorious sun.
We were the only divers who decided December 17th was a scuba diving day at Vortex. It was fun to have the spings to ourselves and even though the water was cold we enjoyed the little "adventure". I especially like scuba diving where no boat is needed-no waves-no dramamine is required so I'm not half drugged and actually have all my facilties in tack. What fun!!

Getting everything ready.

Trying to pull on a 7 m wet suit-very hard!

Got it on!

Ready to go under!
